The proposal included a two stage development approval process and an architectural design competition. Urbis secured the approval of two residential towers containing 240 apartments over a retail podium including basement supermarket and car parking.
The proposal was successfully granted the maximum ‘bonus’ floor space and height provisions within the Sydney LEP given the buildings’ high level of design excellence and achievement of high levels of environmental performance in areas such cross ventilation and solar access.
Urbis has a long history in the development of the site and has formerly assisted in the approval of the previous commercial scheme. Urbis is continuing its ongoing involvement to modify the residential scheme, in order to allow development to proceed.
