Urbis was extensively involved in winning the Bonnyrigg Living Communities Project (BLCP) bid and is now integral to delivering the development outcome. The project involves the redevelopment of the 81 ha Bonnyrigg public housing estate to provide approximately 2330 dwellings.
The redevelopment of the site will decrease the ratio of public housing from 90% to 30% and will also increase the residential density on the estate by 60%.
During the bid phase, Urbis was one of the key consultants involved in the preparation of the $2 million bid for the Bonnyrigg Living Communities Project (BLCP) providing: project management, urban planning, urban design, social research and graphics services to the Becton Property Group (the consortium leader).
