Cranbourne East Precinct Structure Plan, Melbourne 

Urbis has been actively involved with landowners within the Cranbourne East Precinct Structure Plan area. Urbis has performed a variety of roles for different landowners both during the preparation of the Structure Plan and beyond.

Urbis co-ordinated a fast-track Section 96a planning permit application for Stockland which enabled a permit to issue for the development of the site at the same time that the Structure Plan was approved. This was the first time that a Section 96a application has been used on such a scale within the designated Growth Corridors. 

In tandem with this work, Urbis’ Property Economic Team provided economic advice to another landowner during the PSP process to advise on the retail floorspace capacity in the area. More latterly. on the basis of their track record in coordinating planning permits within the precinct, Urbis was subsequently appointed to assist Peet Ltd in securing permits for its landholdings in the same Structure Plan area.
