Ray is an Urban Planner with more than 18 years experience in the government and private sectors. Ray entered into private consulting five years ago after being the Director for Planning and Sustainability at the City of Gosnells. Ray has a broad range of experience in statutory and strategic planning with particular expertise in policy development and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Ray has comprehensive knowledge of statutory planning, structure planning, subdivision and development processes and requirements and has been involved in a number of key planning projects.
Particular areas of expertise include:
- Urban Regeneration and Transit Orientated Development;
- Statutory planning and policy development, including the preparation of Town Planning Schemes, local planning strategies and development guidelines/policies, in particular within an outer metropolitan and regional setting;
- Structure planning and subdivision of industrial and residential developments, and dealing with the land development and release process;
- The integration of sustainability targets into the planning framework at a regional, district and local level;
- Facilitation and negotiation with government and communities for change management;
- Project management of complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams; and
- Assessment of complex developments and negotiation with developers on achieving desired outcomes.
