Urbis Announces John Brannock & Associates joins Urbis Planning team
Urbis has today announced the addition of Brannock & Associates to the Urbis Brisbane Planning team.
Brannock & Associates is a well known town planning consultancy comprising a highly skilled and well respected team of multi-disciplined planners.
According to Peter Hyland, Urbis Brisbane Regional Director and Ben Slack, Urbis Brisbane Planning Unit Director “Brannock & Associates will significantly bolster our expert evidence, planning approvals, planning study, strategic planning and heritage planning skills. We look forward to welcoming such a knowledgeable and experienced team to our business and look forward to a successful collaboration that we hope will positively impact on client customer service and expert opinion received from Urbis.”
The three senior professionals of John Brannock, Steve Buhmann and Scott Richards will start work with Urbis in February, 2013.
Director – Planning
John Brannock is a highly respected planner and overall industry expert. John has more than 38 years experience in the planning sector and is an acknowledged leader in expert evidence, statutory and strategic planning advice, strategy development, heritage conservation as well as policy review and development assessment. John has a longstanding affiliation with a number of peak planning and environmental industry bodies including; Planning Institute of Australia, Queensland Environmental Law Association, Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand as well as the Australia Institute of Company Directors, where he has served in a variety of capacities.
Associate Director – Planning
Stephen has over 25 years experience in the planning and development sector. As a qualified town planner and engineer, Stephen is a specialist in strategic and statutory planning, project management, infrastructure planning and delivery, policy and strategy development, and community engagement, with experience advising both public and private sector clients.
Senior Consultant – Planning
Scott is a senior town planner, historian and cultural heritage professional, and has worked in local government and private practice as a historian and town planner for more than 20 years. Scott specialises in the preparation and facilitation of development applications and approvals, the research and preparation of conservation management plans and heritage impact statements on cultural heritage places, and providing general town planning and cultural heritage consulting advice.
