With increasing cross-border investment and development, the globe is becoming smaller and there is increasing demand for well established disciplines and rigour necessary to deliver world class property product.

Recognising this trend and the global demand for high quality property research and advice, UrbisJHD established a specialised International Property Economics (IPE) team to address this market. This team has now completed more than 100 assignments in Asia, the Middle East and the UK and its reputation in the international marketplace continues to grow.  Whilst the initial thrust was primarily on the back of serving existing Australian clients with off-shore interests, over time the client base has grown and changed significantly as has the geographic coverage. 

Through our international experience, years of advising on Australian markets, and by keeping abreast with trends in the US and European markets, we know what makes commercial sense, have a good knowledge of worlds best practise, and we also understand the costly mistakes to be avoided.

For most of our assignments we engage the services of a local sub-consultant to provide local input and data.  Similarly, in many instances, we also conduct market research with our own market research team, managing the process, but with the surveys and fieldwork being commissioned out to a local market research firm. In providing advice, the International Property Economics team will :

  • work with the client to understand the vision and detail of the project
  • define the scope of work to meet the client’s requirements
  • apply our skills, international experience and knowledge of local market conditions to meet the brief
  • deliver independent, strategic and practical advice that adds value to the project

One of our key strengths is our independence.  We will provide independent, objective advice – even if it is news the client does not want to hear.
